Brooklyn Pizza Tour

Besides tall buildings and fast walking people, New York is known for its pizza (yum), and Brooklyn revels in the tradition. The borough has some of the best, most creative, pizzerias on the planet. We wouldn’t dare rank them—there are simply too many amazing options—but here are a few that won’t let you down.

Grimaldi’s is a New York staple. Customers love the fresh ingredients and smoky flavors signature to the pizzeria’s coal-fired pies. With over 1,200 5-star Yelp reviews, it’s widely regarded as one of Dumbo’s best pizza joints. Yelp reviewers, we’re giving you our two greasy thumbs up of approval on this one.

There’s plenty of seating and a friendly atmosphere, making Grimaldi’s a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family, and us if you are cool with us tagging along! Literally, everything on the menu is superb, from the salads to the coal-fired chicken wings. Just BE SURE to arrive with an empty stomach—you’ll want to eat until you drop!

The only thing longer than the lines for Grimaldi’s is the cheese stretching off a slice of pizza from the new Fortina Pizzeria. It may be the new kid on the block in Brooklyn, but the pizzeria has already proven itself! Fortina pies taste like they were teleported straight from Italy, and the rest of the menu isn’t too shabby either: everything from their appetizers to desserts are finely crafted and presented. Fortina is best for small to medium-sized groups – but they will take reservations for larger groups if you feel like inviting us next time you head over there!

Lady’s is as much a bar as a pizza joint. With a relaxed and inviting atmosphere, it’s a great place to stop in for a few drinks. The bar features everything from standard draft beers to creative cocktails and tasteful wines. We recommend the pizza before the beer for optimal taste enjoyment and stomach feelings!

Lady’s would be a great place to hang out and unwind even if their pizza wasn’t in the picture, but we’ll be honest: the pizza doesn’t hurt. Try the mouth-watering fried eggplant or sausage pies. Your stomach will thank you later.

From traditional pizzerias to creative hybrid restaurants, there are plenty of amazing places to grab a slice in the neighborhood, and we challenge you to visit all of them, and invite us along too!

By the way, we’re not trying to be creepy here, we just really LOVE pizza and our amazing residents, so getting pizza with you is really just a win-win!
