Experience The Lights This December 2022 in Brooklyn

While Manhattan certainly has its New York holiday traditions, in Brooklyn, we celebrate the holidays our own way. From the iconic Dyker Heights Holiday Lights to the lighting at Ample Hills Fireboat House, here are a few events to check out this December 2022 in Brooklyn, NY.

Dykers Heights Holiday Lights

One of Brooklyn’s (and therefore New York’s) most unique attractions comes in the form of a neighborhood that goes above and beyond each year to add a little…er a lot of light to the holiday season. Featuring life size Santas, a full choir of illuminated angels, snowmen and nutcrackers galore, this over-the-top attraction is probably one of the funniest, if not strangest attractions in the city. Learn more about the 2022 Dyker Heights Christmas Lights.

Lightscape at Brooklyn Botanic Garden

Returning to Brooklyn Botanic Garden this season is none other than Landscape, a one-mile trail illuminated by the work of international artists and featuring the Winter Cathedral and Fire Garden. All together, the trail consists of over 1 million lights, accompanied by music. Be sure to grab one of the season treats along the trail, like s’mores, spiked hot chocolate and more. Ample Hills Fireboat House Lighting

Head over to Brooklyn Bridge Park and stop by the Ample Hills Fireboat House this Friday, Dec. 2 from 6-9 p.m. for the annual lighting celebration. A smaller community event, the celebration will feature food, drinks, and, of course, Santa Claus. Learn more about Ample Hills Fireboat House Lighting.
