What could possibly make living at Hub any better? A day filled with pie, of course, because honestly- who doesn’t love pie. The super popular and delicious Mia’s Bakery is located on Smith street in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. Mia’s serves up pastries galore such as pies, cakes, cupcakes, and an assortment of other mouth-watering goodies. Brooklyn residents visiting the bakery are in for a treat (pun intended)!
The story behind Mia’s Bakery starts with two families having dinner and discussing their love of dessert. After a fantastic baklava, they mentioned how hard it was to find exceptional classic desserts in the area. Not extravagant, just traditional desserts perfected. That’s how Mia’s began and where its niche lies.
As mentioned, Mia’s does all things sweets and they do it well.
Let’s start with pies since Pi Day just passed on March 14th. The holiday may be celebrating the mathematical constant pi, but there was no better way to celebrate pi then with a pie from Mia’s Bakery. To help Hub celebrate the day, Mia’s did us the honor of serving their pies for residents at our robust amenity level – Club 333. Banana cream and triple berry were the two star pies served on Pi Day.
Cupcakes are another one of Mia’s specialties, which are offered in both regular and mini-sized portions. Unlike other cupcakes you’ll find out there, Mia’s aren’t too sweet and are as fresh and natural tasting as can be. Popular flavors include red velvet, Nutella, strawberry banana, and crème brulee – yum!
In terms of cakes, Mia’s Bakery provides the classics such as carrot and chocolate layer, as well as some hard to find specialties like Oreo and red velvet cheesecake. Whichever flavor is your personal weakness, Mia’s will have you coming back for more. Once you have Mia’s cakes, you’ll never bake!
